"EU Funding 2010" in Karlsruhe and successful EU-Funding-applications
Another four applications for EU funding submitted by Symbios in 2009 have been granted EU funds on course of the 2009 commission decision making process.
The following European airports and ports will therefore benefit from the European funding programs TEN-T (Trans-European transport network) and Motorways of the Sea (MoS) respectively:
- Münster/Osnabrück International Airport (Germany) will receive € 4.10 mn. for the planned extension of the runway system
- Grant for the Road Traffic Fludification and the new signage system of Grand Port Maritime de Dunkerque (France) at € 1 mn.
- Port of Klaipeda (Lithuania) will be granted € 0.5 mn supporting a feasibility study for the port´s extension
- Financial aid for the Gdynia/Karlskrona (Poland/Sweden) “Motorways of the Sea” project, worth € 17.09 mn. has been granted.
In the year 2009, Symbios successfully acquired funds worth € 33.9 mn. for a total number of six projects to finance infrastructure and investment projects.
In 2010, Symbios will continue to support infrastructure projects of European air- and seaports by submitting further successful EU funding applications. Therefore, Symbios hosted the 3rd International Workshop “EU Funding 2010“ in Karlsruhe on 4-5 March 2010. The workshop aimed at informing the European transport infrastructure companies with respect to this year´s EU funding programs for transport and infrastructure projects amounting to approx. € 200 mn.
As an approved consultant and an officially registered lobbying firm within the European Commission´s “Register of Interest Representatives” (register number 28027892641-95) Symbios offered once again an ideal platform for exchange of experience and best practice examples for successful funding applications. On course of the workshop, the participants have also been provided with useful information with respect to this year´s call for proposals.
